4 Things that Really Make You Look Older!

We all desire to boast the never-ending youthful look. We don’t skimp on an advanced antiaging cream but then we make ourselves look older unconsciously. If you don’t know what I mean, keep reading and see if you do one of the things that make you look older!

1. SUNTAN

If your tan is subtle and adds radiance to the complexion for a sun-kissed face – it’s fine. However, you may be overusing the blessings of the sun if the skin shade is too dark and unnaturally brown. Sunbeds in winter are passé; a tanned face in the cold weather looks really weird. Plus, never forget that both the sunlight and sunbeds have a negative effect on the skin. UV radiation speeds up skin aging so instead of getting tanned, get a high SPF moisturizer.

2. TOO DARK HAIR COLOR

It’s been known forever: dark colors make you look more serious and older. So, if you plan on changing a hair color, remember that some people won’t look good wearing dark colors. Black hair doesn’t look natural so you’d rather go for dark brown or bitter chocolate. If you’re unsure if a certain dye suits you, try an app which shows you wearing different hair colors. If dark shade really enhances your beauty, go for it!

3. MATTE MAKE-UP

Matte face is a dream of the owners of oily, acne-prone, non-stop shiny face which gets the unhealthy shine not long after applying make-up. What do the fans of matte finish do? They add more loose powder for the unnatural cake face effect. The skin lacks energy and radiance, there is no play of light and the skin cries for a highlighter. Also remember that human skin naturally is never matte! That is why mattifying products make us look unnatural. If you feel like you need them, use them only in the strategic areas, try contouring and skillfully operate highlighting products to avoid make-up fails and get rid of the cake face.

4. NOT ENOUGH SLEEP

Sleep is a natural beauty product. If you don’t get enough sleep, you make yourself look way worse. There is no highlighter or foundation that would manage to cover the tiredness on the face. Dark under-eye circles, broken blood vessels in eyes, dull and sallow face, puffiness – far from the youthful look. So, remember to always get enough sleep. During the night the skin goes through the most intensive repair processes – if we don’t get sufficient sleep, skin cells don’t get a chance to bounce back. Summing up, sleep works better than the best moisturizer!
