Usually I am sceptical towards inventions called revolutionary cosmetics, revolutionary gadgets or even more towards revolutionary methods. Skin care needs proven ways and ingredients, so no wonder that my approach was sceptical when it comes to GLOV Hydro Demaquillage – make-up removal glove for use with clear water.
Few words on GLOV Hydro Demaquillage
Phenicoptere is a company, that believes mostly in advanced and innovative microfibres technology, which is expected to be a solution to traditional problems of make-up removal, where we need a lot of cosmetics. Microfibres in GLOV are 100 times thinner than human hair and 30 times thinner than cotton fibres used in cotton pads. Until now, I used both cotton pads and micellar water for make-up removal, so GLOV Hydro Demaquillage is quite a change to me. Make-up removal with just clear water seems like interesting alternative. However, does it work?
Products from GLOV Hydro Demaquillage line
This brand has few products for make-up removal with water on the market. However, I bought two – GLOV Comfort and GLOV on-the-go – in a special offer, where it was better to buy them together than separately. GLOV Comfort is an innovative, rectangular glove with “4 corner system” for more effective face cleanse of even strong make-up. GLOV on-the-go is a bit of more handy version of the glove, which should be placed on joined fingers – in my opinion much easier and much more handy.

As I mentioned, I was very sceptical when it comes to this revolution in make-up removal. I saw for myself that you can truly stop using cosmetics for make-up removal, though not in every situation. Soaked with water GLOV Comfort washes off most of cosmetics, even long lasting eye shadows and eye pencils, but it is not as efficient with waterproof products – here eight-hand fibre structure does not work. GLOVE one-the-go is great in travel, when it comes to make-up removal of less intense make-up cosmetics, but it has a problem with highly pigmented eye pencils, which get smudged. After tests, it turned out that I cannot put aside my micellar water and I have to keep it in my cosmetic bag. However, GLOV Hydro Demaquillage is a very interesting change.
